Outdoor stairlifts are engineered differently from indoor models. They use weather-sealed motors and electronics, UV-resistant upholstery, corrosion-resistant rails, and covers that protect the unit when not in use. A standard indoor stairlift will not hold up outside.
Galveston's and Houston's climate — high humidity, intense summer heat, sand, and occasional hard rain — is one of the more demanding environments for outdoor equipment. The models we carry are tested for these conditions. We'll recommend the right one for your specific staircase and exposure.

Elite Curved Outdoor (CRE-2110E)
Best for: Curved or angled exterior staircases — including porches with a landing or a turn. Rail is custom-fabricated to your staircase geometry.
SL350OD Summit Outdoor Straight
Best for: Straight exterior staircases where a stainless steel rail and full weatherproofing are priorities. The SL350OD is Harmar's dedicated outdoor model.
Pilot Aviator E603 Outdoor Straight
Best for: Straight exterior staircases where advanced safety features and a long motor warranty are priorities. The Aviator E603 outdoor version brings premium indoor comfort to outdoor use.
Handicare 1000 Outdoor Straight
Best for: Exterior stairs where a hidden gear rack and higher capacity option (up to 440 lb) matter. The Handicare 1000's covered rack stays cleaner outdoors and the 440 lb upgrade is unique in this price range.
4000 Outdoor Curved
Best for: Curved, spiral, or corner exterior staircases. The Handicare 4000 Outdoor is custom-built to your staircase and rated for all outdoor weather conditions.
